![]() Procrastinating in an internet cafe... I'm supposed to be on my way to a hardware store to buy a new curtain rail due to the fact that while I was crawling into bed after one very long night, I decided it would be a good idea to hang my big wet towel (nothing ever dries in the UK) over the rail to block out the ever increasing daylight...bad idea! But now I'm looking upon it as an opportunity to personalise my room a little seeing as it seems I might be staying in it for a while longer than expected. The shopping list consists of two curtain rails (one to provide a door to my "wardrobe", the other as the aforementioned replacement), brightly coloured curtains, a new light shade and a window box of brightly coloured flowers. Hopefully the brightening of the the room will contribute to a brightening of my mood which has been a bit flat lately. Don't ask why...I don't know...just no motivation for anything!!! In saying that, I actually did something yesterday...Louise and I met in Oxford Circus for a bit of "shopping" (translation: staring at clothes in gorgeous fashion shops then realising there's no way I can either a) afford them or b) fit into them) before a flash of inspiration...let's go see Phantom of the Opera. A quick call to get Tash on board, the tickets were bought and Lou and I decided to spend the afternoon doing something else considered "cultural"...watching the opening match of Euro 2004 in a pub. Good news: we got a seat, there was a cute Queensland boy behind the bar and it was Portugal vs Greece (good because I'd decided earlier in the I was going to support Greece). Bad news: we had to leave for the theatre before the end of the match but Greece were leading 2-0 so I think they won. Phantom was excellent. Didn't realise how much of the story I knew already but at the same time I didn't know the entire plot so it was still interesting. The scene changes were pretty spectacular too. Glad that I can say I've done it...next one will probably be Jerry Springer the Opera!!! oh, and Happy Birthday for last thursday Abi Rose!!! Good to speak to you today, even if you had to run off and watch Lilo and Stitch for the 500th time...
