 I never knew a bank manager could make you feel positive when it comes to money...just met with the very friendly Aaron at CBA who found me $1,000 that was hidden away in my home loan so now I've managed to hit the magical $4,500 mark - in fact, I'm up to a whopping $5,000!!! and when I checked the mail last night I found a letter from the beautiful Claire Bear!!! I'm starting to think like I'm meant to go on this trip again now...a text message from Rachel, a phone call from Marieke and a letter from Clarabel all in the same week!

eeeeek! Marieke just rang me from England... she had seven minutes left on her phone card and we managed to use it up in what seemed like mere seconds!!! it's snowing, we're going to Greece if Turkey is unsafe and she's even more excited about me getting there than I am!!!

three and a half months to go and I'm starting to worry that I'm not going to have enough money saved! also worried that I'm sub-consciously trying to sabotage my own trip to stay here...can't think like that - I've been planning this trip for too long!!! also worried about my working visa application - (a) because of the low funds and (b) because of the little clause that says "you should not have financial commitments that require a regular income" - hopefully I can convince the nice visa people that my unit will be rented out and pay itself off while I'm away! only one way to find out...send in the application form!!!
